This two-character study of a Québec farmer’s wife and Simon, her misfortune-plagued teenage son received a 7 minute standing ovation after premiering at the Venice Film Festival last year. The applause was well warranted for Guy Édoin’s multilayered film looking at both life on the land and the nature of mourning, forgiveness and sexual identity.

After 15 years in the circus trade, three of which with Cirque du Soleil,two with the Théâtre des deux mondes and five at Radio-Canada’svariétés, Benoit Ranger, better known as the clown Ben Labarouette, thinks up a totally new circus show formula.
In 1987, he created Les Transporteurs de Rêves/The Dream Circus. He visited over 30 countries, participated in the creation of Cirque du Soleil and was its headliner throughout an entire season. He holds an unbeaten record, 24 chairs balanced on his chin!
